Requiem Clothing, Hip Hop Weekly & Acclaimed Artist/producer Benzino Hook Up with Executive Producer Happy to Produce Powerful
“Mamman Pa Crie (Mama Don’t Cry) – A Requiem To Haiti” Brings Together Some of the Most Talented Haitian Hip Hop Artists including Wyclef’s sister Melky Jean, Black Da-Da, Redd Eyez and Billy Blue for 3-day video shoot over Super Bowl Weekend in MiamiMiami, FL (Monday, February – This past weekend, Requiem Clothing, Hip Hop Weekly magazine and acclaimed artist/producer Benzino brought together a group of some of the most talented young Haitian hip hop artists to record and perform the song/music video “Mamman Pa Crie (Mama Don’t Cry) – A Requiem To Haiti,” to be released this week by Oasis Music Group.
Featuring the vocals and performances of Haitian artists Black Da-Da (Strictly Business/Universal Republic Records), Redd Eyez (Zoe Pound/Asylum Records), Billy Blue (Poe Boy/Interscope Records) and Melky Jean, sister to Wyclef, the music video for this powerful Haiti tribute and awareness song was produced over the course of 3 days during the Super Bowl Weekend in Miami. The video was directed by R. Malcom Jones, and was shot on location throughout the Little Haiti section of Miami, as well as at the Oasis Audio and Video Production studios in Aventura.
The video/song project was given a major boost by Wyclef Jean, who appears in the video while his sister Melky performs her verse. During the video production, Wyclef commented, “This is big song. It’s an international, worldly song and I was happy to be a part of the video.” Look for the release of the song and video later this week.
