VH1 To Honor The Dirty South At This Year’s Annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors

VH1 has announced this year’s honorees for their seventh annual “VH1 Hip Hop Honors”, which include Luther “Luke” Campbell and his group 2 Live Crew,Master P, Jermaine Dupri, Organized Noize, and J Prince of Rap A Lot Records. This year the network decided to go with a theme of honoring rappers from the south who have made tremendous contributions to hip hop throughout their careers. The show will be called “VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South”.

Known as one of the top hip hop events of the year the  VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South will honor the history of southern hip hop through huge performances by some of the biggest names in hip hop. The show will tape on June 3rd at the Hammerstein Ballroom In New York City, and will air on VH1 on Monday, June 7 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
