Common has been doing nation wide promotional meet and greets to build up the hype for his new movie also starring Queen Latifah “Just Wright.” The movie hits theaters on May 14th. On his ATL visit he was posed the question whether he would date a plus sized woman in real life to which he responded.

“Yes if I was attracted to her. No matter a woman’s size, she should be able to love herself first, then she can get love in return.”

Ahh this is such a generic and safe answer. Plus would you dare burn a bridge with someone as powerful as Queen Latifah by implying anything less than flattering? Maybe they should have asked him if he was “attracted to big women in general because if you know his dating history not many big girls have showed up on his roster. But then again Common is the deep brother so maybe his statement was heartfelt. What do you think?
