It was announced that Will Smith has signed on to reprise his role as Agent J in Men In Black 3, which will be released in 3D.

The plot of the film involves Smith’s character traveling back to the year 1969 with his partner Agent K (who was played by Tommy Lee Jones). Currently producers are negotiating with Jones to take part in the film, as well as have approached actor Josh Brolin about playing a younger version of Jones’s character in the film.

The film will be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, and Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer.

Men In Black 3D will be released by Columbia Pictures on May 25, 2012.
