Dipset co-founder and rapper Cam’ron recently stated that he’s heading down to Atlanta to work on material for some upcoming projects which include his upcoming solo album, and a couple of soundtracks, as well as working on the debut album for his group the U.N, along with rap artist Vado’s solo project.
Cam’ron stated that he decided to move the production of his projects down south due to the fact that he has recorded his previous albums in cities throughout all other regions of the US (four in New York City, one in Chicago, and one in L.A.), but never in the the south, and wanted to get a different feel this time around. Also in terms of the beats that the south produces Cam stated, “To keep it 100, down South, they got a lot of hot beats with no samples.”
First up Cam is working on a new mixtape, which is a collaboration with DJ Holiday, and will be a following Boss of All Bosses, the DJ Drama-assisted mixtape that was recently released in which he collaborated with Vado on, which featured the single ‘Speakin Tongues’.
Cam’s group the U.N (Us Now) is set to release their debut in August. Cam also mentioned that Vado’s album will be released sometime in December.
There is no word yet about when Cam will be releasing his next solo project.
