Rapper Da Brat was released from prison, after serving two years out of a three year sentence for aggravated assault, in which the rapper assaulted a woman in a Atlanta nightclub in 2007.
In the incident it was stated that Da Brat hit a nightclub hostess over the head with a liquor bottle, and was sentenced in August 2008 to serve three years in prison for the assault.
On a recently released vlog video the rapper spoke about why she was released from prison a year early, stating that she was ordered into a work release program for which she is required to work a steady 9 to 5 job. Here’s what Da Brat had to say about participating in the work release program on the vlog video,”I’m out on a lil’ pass; I had to do some lawyer, attorney stuff, I got a job. I work a 9 to 5 because I’m in the work release program. I make windows, so if ya’ll need a window, holla at your girl.”
However the rapper made mention that she’s not ready to abandon her rap career just yet, to which she told Rap-Up.com that she plans on releasing a new mixtape, now that she’s free, as well as begin work on new television and film projects.
