SMH… Some of the media has been running reckless with this Chamillionaire is “broke” nonsense. Hip Hop Weekly went to the source to clarify the particulars. First let me say that Cham is so above and beyond the point of ever being broke that he probably could purchase many of the publications that are simply outright stating lies through out these circumstances.

A close source exclusively released the following to me:

“”Cham is NOT, I repeat NOT broke. He Is NOT in trouble with the IRS, He is current on all things financial. He is in a brand new house, with his brand new baby son and he is living just fine.”

Let me also point out that from a journalistic fact-checking standpoint above the blogsphere that the documents claiming that Cham owes the IRS are from 2007. The guy is paid in full in all aspects. I realize that people love to sensationalize a good story, but there has to be a limit. Chamillionaire even went beyond the normal call of duty for an artist to place all of this info flat out on the table for the world, but some media outlets just can’t separate fact from fiction, which leads to friction. The economy has been turning cart-wheels for some time, so if you understand anything about real estate than you would fully understand the business moves that Cham has been making. Cham is client of Provident Financial Management, which is one of the best firms that oversee the successful net-worth of top professionals and business executives from music all the way to Hollywood. Do you honestly think they would have let him end up living out of his car? C’mon Son!

Finally many are saying Cham stole by his own admission the term “Riding Dirty” from UGK for his hit single. Now let’s examine this, Cham isn’t saying he stole this as in cheated these guys, and profited without paying just due. You cannot steal something that who one technically owns to begin with. We must recognize that Chamillionaire is simply stating that he respected their dialect/word play so much as a fan and as someone from the “dirty south” that he wanted to further push that concept which he actually did in a stratoscopic manner because he is an international phenomena.

Because Cham admired what UGK had done, he wanted to continue their vision and take it to the next level. Him taking what they began was his way of honoring and paying homage to those who had paved the way for him. He did not do such out of malice or wickedness. This is common sense, why would he stand up here and tell on his own wrong doing if he honestly thought he robbed someone. He wouldn’t, no one would. He has nothing to feel guilty for if you check out the video below you will know why.

If this isn’t enough check out this brand new interview where Chamillionaire spoke with The Madd Hatta Morning Show to squash all the rumors, so lets just do exactly that and squash the BS.
