Kanye West is set to make his first televised award show performance at the BET Awards 2010, since his 2009 incident onstage with Taylor Swift at the MTV VMA’s.
In a statement about letting West perform this year, a representative for the network stated, “While West received much backlash and criticism following the VMAs, BET decided to give the multifaceted performer a spot in music history during its 10 year anniversary special.”
Other performers scheduled to perform at the awards show this year include:T.I., Diddy and Dirty Money, Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz, while Drake, Rick Ross and DJ Khaled were also recently added to that list. John Legend will receive a Humanitarian Award.
The BET Awards ‘10 are slated to air live on Sunday,June 27th at 8:00 PM and will broadcast from the Shrine Auditorium in L.A.
