Requiem Clothing, Hip Hop Weekly magazine and acclaimed artist/producer Benzino have gotten together to create the song “Mamman Pa Crie (Mama Don’t Cry)” in an effort to help raise awareness and funds for Haiti.
Featuring the vocals and performances of Haitian artists Black Da-Da (Strictly Business/Universal Republic Records), Redd Eyez (Zoe Pound/Asylum Records), Billy Blue (Poe Boy/Interscope Records) and Melky Jean, sister to Wyclef, the music video for this powerful Haiti tribute and awareness song was produced over the course of 3 days in Miami, and was debuted recently in New York City at the Carma Foundation’s “Gemini’s Give Back 3” fundraiser held June 13th at 1OAK in Manahattan.

The event was hosted by Vivica Fox, and attendees included Wyclef Jean, Patti LaBelle, Trina and many others. The video was directed by R. Malcom Jones, and was shot on location throughout the Little Haiti section of Miami, as well as at the Oasis Recording and Video Production studios in Aventura, FL.

The video/song project was given a major boost by Wyclef Jean, who appears in the video while his sister Melky performs her verse. Wyclef commented, “This is a big song. It’s an international, worldly song and I was happy to be a part of the video.”
