New York City will pay more than $7 million in the civial lawsuit settlement brought forth by the estate of Sean Bell after his killing in 2006 by police.

The estate of Sean Bell, who was killed in the shooting, will receive $3.25 million, Joseph Guzman receive $3 million and Trent Benefield will get $900,000. Sean Bell was killed in 2006 after leaving a Queens’ nightclub and getting into an altercation with undercover cops. The cops fired 50 shots in just a matter of seconds. The story can be read here.
