Everyone is all up in arms about Wyclef running for president of Haiti. He hasn’t formally announced his bid but it’s pretty certain that he will run for the position. Is he qualified? Read more to find out what Haiti thinks.

In the day and time when anyone can be anything can a rapper be president? Well, Marie Lacrete, a 26 year old Haitian told The Christian Science Monitor:

“I don’t have a problem with Wyclef, but he’s not the right person to be president. He’s a musician, not a politician,” says Ms. Lacrete, adding that the singer didn’t graduate from college…He can’t even manage an enterprise properly,” Lacrete shuddered, talking about the Haitian TV company Telemax, which she charges has been “going down” since the singer became a shareholder. “How is he going to manage Haiti?”
