According to Allhiphop.com, incarcerated accused drug boss Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory may be behind bars, but the Black Mafia Family (B.M.F.) founder still has his sights set on the music industry via a new deal with ringtone makers Myxer.com.
Meech, who is currently locked down in a federal prison in Jessup, Georgia, gained massive exposure this Summer, when Miami rapper Rick Ross named checked him on the hook to one of the year’s biggest songs “Blowing Money Fast B.M.F.”) and the new book, B.M.F. by Mara Shalhoup.
While he was locked down, Mara Shalhoup dropped her investigative book B.M.F., which is a detailed account of the rise of B.M.F., Big Meech and his brother Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.
Big Meech was satisfied with the book and even learned things about the investigation, as well as other “family members” who were also sentenced to lengthy prison sentences for their role in the cocaine distribution ring.
“The book is good. It enlightened me on some things, because I didn’t know what was happening with the other guys,” Big Meech told AllHipHop.com. “We weren’t really with each other during the years of the investigation. A lot of the charges they charged me with are bogus charges.”
According to Big Meech, he is focusing on his appeal with hopes of having his sentenced reduced, or dismissed entirely.
“I can’t complain, I just am tired of being here,” Big Meech told AllHipHop.com. “I’m getting my work on, keeping my mind right. I read urban novels and inspirational, business books. Just last week, I just got shot down by the court of appeals, which was expected. So the next process will be the Supreme Court, I filed a motion on six issues. If that doesn’t work, my lawyer has other strategies. But some of this they need to have happen. That’s what’s bad about the system. It’s easy to get you in, but you have to go through all kinds of steps to get out.”
