Across the Atlantic, in the U.K.. there’s a teenage sensation that has taken Europe by storm with her tremendous talents of singing, dancing and rapping on the European version of American Idol, The XFactor. And now she’s about to invade America with Jay Z!
According to Vibe.com, Jay Z and Will.i. Am had a friendly bidding war on the future hip/pop star and she decided to roll with Roc Nation, which makes perfect sense. At Will.i.Am Music, she would be in the same lane with Fergie but at the Roc where Jay Z is building an arsenal of artists(Willow Smith, J.Cole, Jay Electronica) that are all strong in their own lane, she would fit right in but have full attention on her project when it is her turn to shine.
Will.i.Am did get on twitter and blast about working with Cheryl anyway: “Cher loyd (sic) and I went in the studio and made a mega smasher… Hey cher, when should we release the song we recorded in london???…(Its a smasher),” he tweeted.
And just like Jennifer Hudson, being a finalist, who didn’t win on American Idol but still became a superstar, Cher didn’t win on the Xfactor either but she is no doubt on her way to superstardom.
