If you thought that Jay Z stopped everybody who was making money off of the Autotune program when he dropped DOA, “Death Of Autotune”, well he sure didn’t stop the heir apparent to the “Roger ‘Zapp’ Troutman, Teddy Riley style”, Mr. “Teddy Pendherass Down” T-Pain! The colorful homie is back……in color!

Well there’s a recession going on but T-Pain is definitely showing that he’s recession proof. And the internet is ablaze about the new “stoopid dope chains” T-Pain wore to the shooting of DJ Khaled’s new video, “Welcome To My Hood”. He wore diamond crusted bottles of Nuvo, Ciroc, Conjure, Rose’ and two bottles of Ace Of Spades. According to MTV, “He’s the Beatles of wearing large, shiny objects around his neck. We can all just hope to be half as awesome as he is.” Wow! Was that some blackface humor? Stop playing.

Well, in his defense, I can say he has been consistent with the chains being gaudy and outrageous and if it was hip hop when Slick Rick, GhostFace and even Flavor Flav did it, it’s hip hop now. This is what he had to say via twitter about the whole matter:

“Shout out to the ppl that feel like I should never buy myself anything. I spend money on me and my family, just bcuz I don’t tweet my kids new power wheels and pix of they private school y’all feel like I’m stupid but like I always say y’all do y’all and ima do me.
Don’t hate on my lifestyle just go get a life. Find something you good at and go do it and stay off twitter. I’m goin to sleep now so I can take my kids to school in a few hours I’ll holla at y’all tomorrow.
