As you celebrate the annual commemoration of love and affection known as Valentine’s Day, HHW talked with some of your favorite celebrities as they recalled and shared their favorite V-Day stories.

ANTONIA “TOYA” CARTER, Bet Reality Series Star
“This is a wonderful occasion. It feels good loving somebody when somebody loves u back… patience is a virtue.”
MIGUEL, R&B Singer
“I love this holiday. Where will I be on Valentine’s Day? Kickin’it with Ne-Yo and Monica. We’re all performing at the Nokia Theatre in L.A.”
HEAVY D, Hip Hop Icon
“My favorite Valentine’s memory was with my daughter a few years ago. She was 4 or 5 years old, and I surprised her by pickin’ her up from school with a dozen roses and a gigantic teddy bear. I was the only father to do that. My daughter was both embarrassed and filled with joy. The look that she gave me that day filled me with so much pride. She told me that I was the best dad in the whole wide world. I wanted to show my daughter how she’s supposed to be treated. She’s a queen, and she should never settle for anything other than the best. She’s 11 now, and she remembers that day, and she recently told me that she’d never forget it – THAT’S love!!”
WENDY RAQUEL ROBINSON, Actress, “The Game”
“My favorite Valentine’s Day memory was when my now-husband proposed to me. That was unforgettable.”
YUNG BERG, Rapper
“When I was like, 16, and the sidekick phones first came out, my girlfriend at the time wanted it, but she wanted to have bling all over it. I didn’t have the dollars to get it done, so I went to the arts and crafts store and attempted to glue colored rhinestones all over it – attempted… Needless to say, she loved it either way.”
CYNTHIA BAILEY, Cast Member, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”
“My new husband, Peter Thomas, is very romantic, and enjoys bringing surprise gifts on Valentine’s Day. I always tell him not to since my birthday is just a couple days later, but he still enjoys surprising me on Valentine’s Day anyway.”
