Longtime marketing/music exec and hip-hop insider Steve Stoute slammed the Grammys in a full page advertisement appearing in the Styles section of Sunday’s New York Times.
In an open letter published by the New York Times in Sunday’s paper, Steve Stoute–the brain behind Lebron James’, Rihanna’s, and Jay-Z’s branding empires–takes the Grammy Awards committee (and artists alike) to task for its peer voting system and how it is biased against the current popular culture music, involving artists like Kanye West, Eminem and Justin Bieber.
