In a strategic legal defense move, incarcerated rapper LIL BOOSIE has filed a court motion accusing prosecutors in Louisiana of targeting him in an act of revenge.

Reports Contact Music:

The hip-hop star, real name Torrence Hatch, is due to stand trial amid allegations he was involved in the shooting death of Terry Boyd, who was killed at his home in Louisiana in October, 2009.

Boosie pleaded not guilty to the first-degree murder count last June (10) and is due to face a grand jury later this year (11). Two other suspects are also being held in conjunction with the killing.

But Boosie, who is currently serving a four-year sentence for violating his parole from a previous conviction, claims District Attorney Hillar Moore III only pursued legal action against the star after hearing “disparaging comments” he made on his song F**k ‘Em All.

On the track, Boosie spits: “F**k the D.A. and the lawyers/your racist a** is going to hell/You’ll probably be dead when I come out of jail ya old b**ch.”

Now the rapper’s lawyer, Jason Williams, has questioned Moore’s reasoning behind the prosecution and has asked a judge to remove his client from the murder case.

The legal papers read: “Mr. Moore learned of these disparaging comments and within 10 days of hearing these remarks, he prepared a case against Torrence Hatch to bring before a grand jury when the individuals actually responsible for this crime had been in custody for quite some time.”
