The urban model game is at an all time high these days and even though, there are thousand of new faces everyday, only the ones with brains as well as beauty advanced to having a lucrative career and chance at stardom. But how many of them want to be a doctor? Watch this!!!
The world is full of haters. And the first thing people love to hate is something that they are not. I’ve seen some blogs and tweets where urban models and the urban modeling industry is completely hated on. They try to dress it up but it’s still comes down to jealousy. After talking to Sincerely Iyss, I believe that a wave of young women are coming that will be bigger than the Melyssa Fords, Buffy The Bodys or the Keisha Diors. And the jealousy and hate will continue but if these next generation super urban models take the game to another level, the success will kill the noise. Well if there’s one model will be the first to stifle their mouths, it will be our latest Net Chick. Check out the interview and the peep what the future looks like:
HHW: You are currently in college? What are you studying?
SI: I’m currently in college studying Nuclear Medicine. Most think it has to do with the engineering of nuclear bombs but it’s actually a subcategory of Radiology, a more advanced category actually! This field deals with the administration of the pharmaceuticals required before undergoing certain imaging processes that require that extra “glow”.
HHW: Being an accomplished model, what’s your top five highlights?
SSI: Hmmm, my top five highlights would be of course my feature in Hip Hop Weekly, my two features in Straight Stuntin Magazine, my features on DynastySeries.com, my infamous World Star Hip Hop video and the upcoming hosting of the 2011 Bday Reunion Bash for Dawgman and Yo Gotti.
HHW: Are you currently in the Armed Services?
SI: Actually I am in the Armed Forces. A 5 year veteran with one deployment to South West Asia under my belt
HHW: Is modeling just a stepping stone to a much bigger picture or a release to a passion?
SI: Not at all… modeling is a hobby in which I engage in when I feel like its most fun to me. Now the benefits of my work are just extra… I have no plans for it, but what happens…HAPPENS!!!!
HHW: You seem to be a very confident individual, do you think models make it hard by the choices they make?
SI: Yes, I believe they do… their choices set a standard for others whether they would like to think so or not. Many think they can move up quicker by engaging in peculiar activities, which at times may help, but not without a price…a price that is most of the time not worth it!
HHW: Are you currently in a relationship?
SI: Yes I am *smiles*
HHW: How do you balance school, work, modeling and a relationship?
SI: Easy… I keep school separate from EVERYTHING, and make it my priority. Then my relationship comes next, lastly to all of that is modeling. As I mentioned before…modeling isnt my career so it has little effect on my relationship or school!
HHW: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
SI: Graduated from college, living the American dream as a upper middle class successful woman in the medical field.
HHW: Do you have any advice for models just coming in the game and no back-up plan?
SI: Pump your breaks, pause and think!!! Looks are temporary. Models fade in and out as trends, new models and age steps in and dominates whats new! ALWAYS have a backup plan that involves SELF security. Dont depend on a man, industry folks, or you video vixen credentials to carry your through retirement…only you can help YOU!! I would say back yourself up with a college education and degree, but school isn’t always right for everyone, and if that’s the case then be smart about your brand as a model, be creative and extract from the minds that are working with you. Become business orientated!! Look at women like Kim Porter, Keisha Dior, and Buffy the Body… what they all have in common is they modeled…yes… but they made a brand under their name and had more then just a few pretty pics to back up their career… they’re making money off of their own ideas! Kim manages folks, and has a clothing line, Keisha has a epic Lipstick line, and Buffy has workout tapes and all kinds of other things going! become a brand…not a statistic
