HHW kicks it with L.A. Lakers star Lamar Odom and his wife, reality TV hottie Khloe Kardashian, as they talk about marriage, making babies, and the sweet smell of success.

HHW: How are you guys enjoying married life?
LAMAR: Married life is beautiful. First of all it’s a blessing for us to have each other and to be happy. To be able to love, work, and do everything that we’ve ever dreamed and to experience it with each other is the ultimate blessing.
KHLOE: I think the security of being with someone who you love and respect and who you want to spend your days with is just an amazing feeling. It’s not just being married, I love that we are in love. I think anyone can be married, but it’s hard to be in love and to be married, but we work at it.
How much work is it?
KHLOE: Lamar and I got married after 30 days of knowing each other, so every day we learn knew things about each other. Like he said, every day we work on it, but it’s not hard because it’s something that we both want to do. If you want to be married and you love the person, then you can make anything happen.
What’s the secret to a happy marriage?
KHLOE: We’re huge on communication. If it’s bad or good, you have a problem, then let’s communicate it. We’ll find a way out of it and get through it, and Lamar and I are great with communicating, even with our busy schedules. We’re incredibly honest with each other. With our whole 30 days of courtship, we told each other our deepest darkest secrets and we were both fine with everything we heard, so it was like, “From now on, we already know all the bad stuff, now let’s bring out the good.”

I think it’s courageous of the Kardashians to show their most personal moments on television. There are a lot of silly, happy moments, but watching this episode? It made me sad for Lamar, who seems like a decent man. I recorded it on my DVR with my employee DISH Network subscription. It has more room than those DVRs offered by Cablevision.
