The sound of Sade has always been her own and could never be duplicated or even imitated. So for the most part, she’s in her own lane. But when she decided to do a remix of the “The Moon And The Sky from last year’s Soldier Of Love, with Mr. Shawn Carter, Jay Z, all the purists and the bourgeois set got a little heated like Sade just had a secret love affair with someone of lower standards…..Read their comments!!!

I listened to the track over and over and I couldn’t understand how any real lovers of music (especially hip hop) could hate on this collaboration but I realized that most of the people hating didn’t like hip hop period and some of them sound a little suspect and was on the verge of being racist. But of course, they will deny that and everybody is entitled to their opinion. But like Jay said once in “Already Home”, ‘The sh*t that you just witnessed is the shit that I been on,
And as for the critics, tell me I don’t get it. Everybody can tell you how to do it, they never did it’

Comments from SadeVevo:

Sade has made it a point not to team up on her projects. Let’s face it. This was some record exec’s decision. Trying to boost up income in a struggling industry. Wise up. Stop trying to mass produce instant classics. Let Jay-Z work with his baby, Beyonce. and with the chick with the red hair. They need help with sales. I will not buy a song because the singer is hot, shows a lot of flesh; almost naked and alot of sexually tricks geared to entice young, horny males and confused young women.

Why is everyone bashing Jay? Chances are Sade personally approached him about a feature, and unless your ear drums aren’t working right, there’s no way you can honestly say his verse didn’t make this song better….

Sade dropped out of the maddness for ten years just because of this type of creatively destructive crap. Just because a type of sound is IN doesn’t mean it should be embraceed by everyone. Look at disco. That sound nearly destroyed my love for music. Thank goodness for FunkMasters producing and releasing the types of music the public really wanted to buy forcing the industry to dump the disco and go with the flow. Match Maxwell with Sade or Eric Benet with Sade and you might have a winner.

My statement is directed at the decision makers behind the motivation to unite Sade, a pure musical storyteller, backed by one a tight musical construct, and Jay-z, a master rap mogul of the hip hop world, with one clear, but unstated intention, to capitalize on the record earning success of songtress extraordinare, Sade’s Soldier of Love cd. Largest grossing cd after just one week since 2008. A fan of rap in it’s present state might adore Jay-Z’s skills. To me, the combo delutes the power.

Ok you guys shouldnt even be hating on jay z and hyping up sade. Sade has one of the most emotional and beautiful voice ever but jay z really did his thing here. If you people can’t understand what he is saying then i feel sorry for all of you. Jay z and Sade together should make more tracks. These two really created a track that was so emotional and really good. Enjoy the song and stop hating..

Sade is a wonderful artist. She doesn’t need a hip hop beat behind any of her music, even if it is Jay-Z.

I like it, at first I read all the media crap and thought bad idea but it sounds sooooo good thumbs up to both of them.

@rockinspiritphoto Those are words of reason, this remix is nonwithstanding. All their songs should stay original becasue it takes away from their sublime material.

I totally dislike this remix version. The reason the original will stand the test of time is because Sade used all of the old school skills wovened tightly with just enough of today’s new technology to produce a tight jewel of a master piece. Jay-Z is a annoying distraction completely out of place.
