Jim Jones protégé Lady H is making a name for herself with the released of Jim Jones’ track “Getting To The Money” Ft. Cam’ron & herself. The Harlem native does not want to be known just as Jim Jones’ little cousin; she’s developing herself as an artist and proving to the people that’s she more than just a female rapper. The Snow Gang CEO invited Don Bleek of HHW to Jim Jones’ studio for an exclusive interview. The studio was very Hip-Hop and the room was filled with the smell of sour in the air. Keep Reading:

1. HHW: For the people that are not familiar with you, tell them who you are and where you’re from.

Lady H: I’m Lady H; I’m from 115th  and 7th Ave in Harlem.

2. HHW: Lately you have been getting a lot of great feedback from your verse on Jim Jones’ “Getting To The money” Ft. yourself and Cam’ron; let’s talk about the making of the track. How was it recording the track, were you actually in the studio with Jim and Cam?

Lady H: I was in the studio with Jim when I did my verse. Actually the track was supposed to be for a mixtape, which was supposed to come out before the album. I got the beat, listened to it then laid my verse down and everybody started going crazy. Juelz Santana was supposed to be on the song.

3. HHW: Word

Lady H: Yeah, but I don’t know what happened. I came to the studio one day and Cam was on it and then I heard it was going on the album.

4. HHW: So the original track was supposed to feature yourself, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones, instead of Cam’ron?

Lady H: Yeah

5. HHW: I heard the track and your verse is super dope.

Lady H: {Laugh} Thanks

6. HHW: You’re Welcome. What was going through your mind when you were writing your verse and did you feel any pressure because you are featured on a track with two heavy-weights?

Lady H: It was a lot of pressure. I never thought it was going make the album but it helped bring out my name. The song is about getting money, so I just thought about the streets of Harlem and how people hustle and go hard to get to the money.

7. HHW: I read some of the tweets that you have been getting about your verse and the fans on Twitter are saying “Lady H had the hottest verse” on “Getting To The Money.” How do you feel when you hear people say that?

Lady H: I don’t know about all that {laugh}, but my verse is hot and I like the outcome.

8. HHW: How does it feel to be co-signed by Jim?

Lady H: It feels great because Jim is one of the best hustlers in the game and for him to believe that I can do this, really means a lot to me.

9. HHW: Can you explain your label situation? I read that you’re the first lady of Byrd Gang. Can you touch on that a little?

Lady H: For legal reasons I’m not able to speak on that at the moment.

10. Are you able to speak on Snow Gang, aren’t you the CEO of Snow Gang?

Yes, it’s a street team. Everyone in it has talents.

11. HHW: Last year you did a freestyle to Fat Joe’s “Ha Ha (Slow Down)” Ft. Jim Jones, what inspired you to do that track and would you say that was the song that introduce you as a rapper?

Lady H: I wouldn’t say that was the song that introduced me as a rapper, it was just a freestyle. I did it because I liked the old skool beat and everybody used to tell me “slow down Lady H you’re killing them.” {Laugh} So I did it and Jim got on because he liked it.

12. HHW: What was the first track you recorded as a rapper?

Lady H: The first track I put out was a freestyle titled “Sell Hard.” It was to Rihanna’s “Go Hard” beat. The first track I recorded was with Sandman. The track was called “G.R.I.N.D.”

13. HHW: When did you start rapping?

Lady H: I recorded that song about three years ago in Quads studio, but I’ve been rapping for about four years.

14. HHW: What female artists inspired you to rap?

Lady H: Lil Kim, Remy Martin, “she talks that shit I talk,” Foxy Brown and Eve.

15. HHW: At one point, female Hip-Hop was at the top, over the years, it kind of drifted off. How do you feel about the current state of female Hip-Hop?

Lady H: It’s coming back now. We just need that one female to come back and talk that fly shit. Everything doesn’t have to be the same.

16. HHW: How do you plan on putting female Hip-Hop back on the forefront?

Lady H: I’m grinding, working hard with my movement and trying to get my artists names out there. I want to let the people know what Snow Gang is about.

17. HHW: Mostly ever female rapper came out under a male crew, do you think that a female emcee has to come out under a male crew in order to succeed in this industry?

Lady H: Yeah, because this is more of a male dominated industry and female artists need that extra push from a male. We want the male audience to buy our albums just like we want the female audience too.

18. HHW: How does it feel to be a female rapper coming out of Harlem because there aren’t really too many female rappers that came out of Harlem and made it big?

Lady H: It feels good coming from Harlem; we’re trendsetters. I plan on being one of the few female rappers from Harlem to do it big.

19. HHW: Do you feel like you have a lot to prove because you’re coming out under the Byrd Gang/Dipset umbrella?

Lady H: You always have a lot of prove. Whatever you’re doing or whoever you coming out under, you always have something to prove. You have to prove yourself to the people and your fans. So yeah, I feel like I have a lot to prove.

Lady H: It’s feels good! I was like “it’s about to get different.” I have to bring my A-Game, I’m out there, and people know my name now. People know who I am, I’m going bring that fire and be consistent with it.

21. HHW: What projects are you currently working on, songs, mixtapes, features, tour, etc?

Lady H: I’m working on my mixtape and a Snow Gang mixtape with my artists. I’m working with my artists T Stacks, Co Ice, and Mr. Yung Harlem.

22. When are you dropping your mixtape and do you have a title?

Lady H: I want to drop it Memorial Day Weekend, its might be called Queen Of Harlem or Harlem Nights: Lady Heroin.

23. HHW: What artists have you been working with for your mixtape?

Lady H: Jim Jones, Co Ice, T Stacks, Mr. Yung Harlem, Holly, Boss Mob, Shooter, Mel Matrix and a few surprises.

24. HHW: Do you have any upcoming tour?

Lady H: Actually next month, we have a 10 days overseas tour.

25. HHW: Will this be your first time overseas?

Lady H: No, two years ago, we did a 14 days tour overseas. We went to Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, and a few other places.

26. HHW: Any final words to the fan?

Lady H: Just be on the lookout for Lady H.

27. HHW: If people will like to get at you. How can they reach you?

Lady H: snowgangtv@gmail.com or get at me on Twitter @niniladyh.
