Big K.R.I.T released his highly anticipated project “Return of 4Eva” as a free album rather than labeling it as a mixtape. It did not disappoint his fans and K.R.I.T. proves that he deserved the 2011 Freshman title. Singer Chris Brown recently celebrated his 22nd birthday party at Club Play in Miami; with special guest Lil Wayne. The V.A. native received a gold plaque for his latest album F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies), which debuted at # 1 on the Billboard chart. After six weeks of being in stores, the album has sold over 500,000 copies.

This past Thursday, New York’s rapper Fabolous and Roc Nation recording artist J.Cole performed at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC for the CUNY Hunter concert. The show was sold out; jammed pack wall-to-wall. As the cheerful college students waited in line to enter the ballroom, they started screaming “We want Fabolous and J. Cole.”

Compton rapper Game is gearing up to release his forthcoming album, The R.E.D. Album, which is scheduled to hit stores and online this August. Game recently told Billboard, that he had a meeting with Jimmy Iovine and was told that the album is slated to hit shelves late August. This will be the follow-up to Game’s 2008 album LAX, which debuted at # 2 on the Billboard chart and sold 238,382 copies in the first week.
