A source confirms to E! News that the reality star is finalizing a prenuptial agreement with fiancé Kris Humphries that would protect his and her assets in the event of a divorce.
It’s a standard prenup,” says a source close to the couple. “They just want something that makes sense for both of them.”

The agreement is in the hands of lawyers at this stage and is “very straightforward,” says the source.

With Kim’s net worth reportedly in the $35 million range, and Kris’ about $8 million, there is a lot of money at stake.

“When it comes to money, Kim just thinks it’s always smart to have a contract and she has always looked at things that way,” says the source. “It is the responsible thing to do.”
