Raekwon teams up with California based M.C., Professor A.L.I. and Ghana born New York M.C., Blitz the Ambassador to address the African Diaspora in a new single “Things Fall Apart.” Listen to it after the jump.

“Things Fall Apart” takes its name from the work by Nigerian author Chinua Achebe and is the latest single to drop off of the solo debut hip-hop album Carbon Cycle Diaries by Professor A.L.I.

A diaspora, literally means ‘’the scattering of seeds’’ and describes the process of people being displaced. The African Diaspora is the spread of African peoples worldwide and in particular in the West, from those that scattered during the Middle Passage to the mass migrations out of Africa as a result of the conditions of death and destruction created and imposed by European Imperialism.

The song which calls out to Mama Africa breaks down the process of the diaspora, its costs, and the return in three verses by three M.C.’s.
