HHW gives you another exclusive Behind The Beats featuring Watts, CA own K-Mac.

Deuces” – Chris Brown feat. Tyga & Kevin McCall
“One Night Stand” – Keri Hilson feat. Chris Brown

HHW: What are you in the studio working on right now?

K-Mac: My own project, it’s an all R&B mixtape called The Ear-gasm. It’s pretty self-explanatory; basically saying the music is like, better than sex. It’s all sex records… all baby-making songs. So it should be a hot summer.

So, you’re singing on this project, as well as producing it?
Yeah, I’m mostly doing R&B on it, but I’m producing all of it. I may spit some verses on it too, just to mix it up a little bit.

What are some of the records you’ve produced?
I produced “Deuces.” I produced all the beats on Chris Brown’s first mixtape, which was In My Zone. I also did Fan of a Fan, with him and Tyga. I also did “Ain’t Thinkin’ About You” with Bow Wow. That’s mostly it. Everything else has been writing or stuff that hasn’t came out yet.

What are some of the people you’ve written songs for?

“Yeah 3X,” “No B.S.” I’m actually featured on “No B.S.,” singing on it. The one with Keri Hilson and Chris Brown called “One Night Stand.” I did “My Girl” for Mindless Behavior. Who else? Man, it’s so many.

How would you describe your sound?

My sound is eclectic. Being someone who raps and sings, I like to venture deep into both worlds and kind of fuse them together, to where both sides can meet each other at a common ground.

Where are you from originally?
I’m from Watts, from LA…in the city of LA. I grew up there. My parents actually were able to move out of Watts by the time I was in high school and I went to school in Carson, which is…not the suburbs. It’s hood too but it’s not as bad as Watts.

What are some of the beats you’ve produced that haven’t come out yet?

I got some new stuff coming out with Big Sean. I got a couple records with me and Tank; some new stuff coming out with Dawn Richards from Dirty Money. Got some new stuff with Trey [Songz]. So I’m busy, man.

What kind of equipment do you use to make beats?

I want you to tell everybody that I make all my beats on Fruity Loops Studio. So people can be inspired to use it, you know? Fruity Loops!
