Meet the multifaceted Ms. Olivia.

Olivia on “Love & Hip Hop.”
We’re actually filming the second season of “Love & Hip Hop” right now, so everything is going great with that. It’s an hour long now. You get to see more of my team this season, more of what’s going on. Also you get to see stuff as far as the label situation… its more in-depth this season.
Olivia on the public identifying with her:
Yeah, I feel like I’ve had a hard time because of the situation with the “Unit,” even though I was a solo artist I was thrust into the group so it looked like I was part of the group instead of just being signed to G-Unit. Usually when people saw me I was on a feature with one of the guys, I never really did a song by myself because 50 always wanted to put a rapper on it because he figured that’s the same thing that helped him so ‘why change the formula?’ Not realizing that I’m an R&B artist and things have to be different.
Olivia on her prior deal with Interscope and G-Unit:
On J Records, where I was first signed, people didn’t really get to know me that well because I was an experimental artist; I was the very first artist signed to the label and everybody was just trying to figure out how to market me. So over the years I’ve just been grinding and singing but not singing how I wanted to; [on G-Unit] I couldn’t come out with the type of songs that I wanted to [while] standing next to four rappers, it just wouldn’t make sense. Now coming back full circle, by myself, I’m able to do the things that I want and being on the show will give me the visibility so that everybody can truly see what I can do, i.e.; doing the song “December” and now people totally get it.
Olivia on new projects for television or film?
My acting coach is Tracy Moore. I’ve been with her for about two and half years now. We shot a movie already, it’s called Peep-Hole. A few people are in it, Terrence from “106 & Park,” Slim from 112 and Warner Bros. Pictures picked it up so they’ll be adding more, well known actors to that. I’m always reading scripts, she sends me a lot things. So you’ll be seeing a lot of different things from Olivia, not just music.
