Stop the press indeed! Steve Jobs, where are you going? The CEO of one of the world’s most valuable companies, stepped down from his duties today. Find out why after the jump.

According to TMZ, Jobs handed in his letter of resignation, he will stay as the Chairman of Apple’s board of Directors but other than that, he’s gone!

Tim Cook (Who the heck is this?) will fill in for Jobbs.

Jobs included reasoning in his letter:

“I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.”

Jobs founded Apple over 30 years ago.
