On November 1, Maybach Music Group rapper Wale will be dropping his sophomore album Ambition. The disc will feature a track titled “Focused” Ft. Kid Cudi. The two are working on rebuilding their friendship. According to MTV News, “while previewing his album for select media outlets, Wale dropped hints about the collaborator — a friend of his that lived in Brooklyn while he was living in SoHo — on the song he was about to play last.”

G.O.O.D. Music rapper Kid Cudi recently scrapped the idea of putting out his mixtape, titled A Man Named Scott. Instead the G.O.O.D. Music rapper is planning to release a new album this year. Cudi took to his Tumblr page and wrote, “A Man Named Scott is scrapped everyone.” Cudi then added, “I know its a bummer but ive just been too busy with this new album and thats where all my energy and focus is right now. I gotta work on what moves me creatively.”

Nick Ashford, who with Valerie Simpson, his songwriting partner and later wife, wrote some of Motown’s biggest hits, like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough“ and “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing,” and later recorded their own hits and toured as a duo, died Monday at a hospital in New York City.
