Weezy Did It Again! Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter IV” Sells A Million Copies In First Week

Weezy did it again! Platinum-selling rapper Lil Wayne’s latest CD Tha Carter IV sold over one-million copies in the first week. This marks Lil Wayne’s second consecutive Hip-Hop album to reach over a million in the first week. Tha Carter 3 also sold over one-million copies in the first week. Weezy’s is also the second rapper after Eminem to hit platinum twice in the first week.

Tha Carter IV is in stores and online now. The standard edition has a total of 15 tracks including the lead single “6 Foot 7 Foot” Ft. Cory Gunz, “John” Ft. Rick Ross, “How to Love,” and “She Will” Ft. Drake. The deluxe edition contains three additional songs. The disc has other collaborations from T-Pain, Bun B, Nas, Shyne, and Busta Rhymes. Tomorrow Wednesday (September 7), Weezy will be performing at the Qwest Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.
