Transform America is hosting a benefit concert for the social justice community of New York City featuring Lupe Fiasco on Monday, November 7th at Terminal 5 located on 610 W 56th Street in Manhattan. The Transform America Moving Minds Benefit Concert will raise awareness and funds for the organization’s Moving Minds Mentorship and Youth Council programs.
Transform America is a registered tax-exempt 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization whose mission is to advance human rights by building synergy between student, non-profit, for-profit and community organizations. Transform America’s goal is to empower communities to create and sustain a social justice movement for positive and innovative change. The Moving Minds Benefit Concert will be an engaging experience featuring internationally renowned Grammy award winning hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco and independent acts including Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Maya Azucena and Brooklyn-bred singer, poet and lyricist Shanelle Gabriel who will also be hosting the event. In exciting news, Transform America is proud to announce that critically acclaimed hip hop group, Dead Prez, has been added to the dynamic lineup.
All these performers are committed to and recognize the importance of social justice, giving back and community engagement. Through their talents Transform America intends to attract, inspire, entertain, motivate and engage members of the community and encourage them to give back, get involved and share what “moves their minds.” Transform America is working with Emané Marketing to organize and promote this event and 20/20 Audio Visual, Inc. and Terminal 5 for production services. Emané is a consulting group that provides strategic marketing solutions for corporate brands, agencies, small businesses and artists. Tickets are $50 for general admission and $100 for VIP.Tickets are now available for purchase on Ticketmaster.com.
