Author and educator Michael Eric Dyson is decoding the rhymes of rapper Jay-Z to teach students at Georgetown University about race, gender and poverty. But critics argue lyrics about swag and hustle have no place in higher education.

Sounds like an excellent course that illustrates how your experience with literary criticism can be applied to popular culture, as well as, helping you to more thoroughly think about how gender and sexuality in media affects contemporary society. Or not.
