Last month, rapper Drake released his sophomore album Take Care. After five weeks of being in stores, the disc is now officially platinum. Take Care debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 659,190 copies in the first week. Drake’s debut album Thank Me Later also debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling, 447,000 copies in the first week and over one-million copies worldwide.

Take Care is the third-highest sales week of 2011, after Lady Gaga’s Born This Way debut (1.1 million) and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV start (964,000). Take Care features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, André 3000, Rick Ross, and more.
