According to MTV, Atlanta rapper and Waka Flocka Flame affiliate Slim Dunkin was shot and killed today. A source close to Dunkin has confirmed to MTV News that the Brick Squad Monopoly rapper is indeed gone. (more…)

The boss forthcoming LP God Forgives, I Don’t was pushed back due to health issues but that’s not slowing Rick Ross down. He is planning to release a new mixtape. Rozay took to his official Twitter account @RickyRozay to announce that he will soon be dropping a new disc. Ross is back in the states after touring South Africa. D.C. native and Maybach Music Group recording artist Wale is sitting on the throne. His single “Lotus Flower Bomb” Ft. Miguel, off his latest album, entitled Ambition is currently the #1 record at Urban Radio. The disc was released last month and sold over 2700,000 copies since being released. Wale is currently filming the video to his new single “Slight Work” Ft. Big Sean. The video is being directed by Chris Brown with some assistance from Riveting Entertainment (Colin Tilley).

Jay-Z and Kanye West aka The Throne begin filming the video for their #1 single “N***** In Paris.” The visual, which is being directed by Kanye West was filmed at the Staples Center in L.A. Last Month, the song reached No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. According to Billboard, “Ni**as in Paris” is Jay-Z and Kanye West’s first No. 1 from their BIllboard 200 No. 1 album. Watch The Throne’s lead single, “Otis,” peaked at No. 2 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in September.”

Harlem’s rapper Max-B, who is currently severing a 75-year prison sentenced will be releasing his autobiography The Wavy Baby soon. In his upcoming memoir, Biggaveli will discuss his life, growing up in Harlem, and personal relationship with Jim Jones and Chrissy. It is rumored that Max-B will be home by the end of December or the top of the year. Back in April Max’s appeal process was done. He’s just waiting for a letter from the prosecutors to response, which will be the final decision.

College graduated/NC native J. Cole signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label over 2 1/2 years ago and been very consistent since. Before releasing his first solo album, entitled Cole World: The Sideline Story, which debuted at #1, selling over 218,000 copies in the first week, Cole released a few mixtapes and EP’s including The Come Up, The Warm Up, Friday Night Lights, and Any Given Sunday EP. A few weeks ago, he was also nominated for his first Grammy Award for “Best New Artist.”
