Last night Thursday (April 18), former Hotboys/Cash Money rapper Juvenile performed in NYC for his first time in eight years and HHW was there to witness his NYC comeback performance. The platinum-selling rapper set the stage on fire for a large group of screaming fans, ranging from late teens to adults. The rallied New Yorkers held down the New Orleans native and rapped along with him throughout his entire set which lasted almost an hour.

Around midnight, Juve came running on stage wearing a Polo shirt, vest and True Religion jeans. He opened up his set by performing some of his classics from his Cash Money days including “Set It Off,” “Slow Motion,” and “Back That Azz Up” before jumping into his new tracks “Mardi Gras,” “They Sleeping On Me” and “Power” (minus Rick Ross) off his forthcoming LP, entitled Rejuvenation which is scheduled to hit stores and iTunes on June 19th.
Juve proved that he can hold down a big city like New York, without having any special guests. The event was hosted by New York’s Power 105.1 DJ, DJ Envy. Juve ended his performance by performing the record that got him started, “Ha”.
Late yesterday afternoon, Juve dropped his new 8-track mixtape, Nino The Magnificent, in conjunction with AllHipHop, hosted by DJ Bigga Rankin. Download it is below:
