Disco Queen, Donna Summer has died. The singer, 63, had been quietly battling cancer. She passed away in Florida.
Reports say the sassy, big-voiced singer behind such radio classics as “Last Dance,” “She Works Hard for the Money” and “Hot Stuff” was putting the final touches on a new album.
She was named — for the fourth time — as a nominee for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, but not chosen for induction.
However, her accolades include five Grammy Awards, the last coming in 1997 for Best Dance Recording for “Carry On.”
