Melanie Fiona recently released her official visual to “This Time” Ft. J. Cole. The track was produced by No I.D. and serves as a single off her latest album, entitled The MF Life. Together, they’re hot but she is doing so much better without him. In the Colin Tilley-directed visual, Melanie sings her heart out and J. Cole spits a dope verse.

Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash: T.I. Hit The Stage With A Star-Studded Set Featuring Lil Wayne, Kelly Rowland & Usher
Over this past weekend, the Phillips Arena in ATL was a zoo for Atlanta’s 107.9 17th birthday bash. It was also a classic moment because Dem Franchize Boyz, Trillville, Crime Mob, Lil’ Jon and Lil Scrappy hit the stage to perform some of their biggest hits. Others music artists including Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Travis Porter, Ca$h Out and Future hit the stage as well but the biggest moment of the evening was when T.I. took the stage.

The Fans Have To Wait A Little Longer: French Montana Debut LP Pushed Back
Bad Boy/Interscope recording artist and MMG affiliate French Montana debut album, entitled Excuse My French was recently pushed back from its July 17 released date. The album is halfway done and fans will now have to wait until fall to buy the disc. Montana admits that the tour (Drake’s Club Paradise tour) slowed up the recording process.

The Bidding War Is Over: Rising Chicago Rapper Chief Keef Signs To Interscope
The bidding war is officially over with! Rising Chicago rapper Chief Keef recently signed a deal with Interscope Records. He broke the news over this past weekend at Atlanta’s 107.9 birthday bash. According to MTV , “On Saturday (June 16) just hours before he took the stage at Birthday Bash with T.I. the Chicago upstart inked a deal with Jimmy Iovine’s label and gave RapFix the exclusive.”

Rodney King, whose beating by Los Angeles police in 1991 was caught on camera and sparked riots after the acquittal of the four officers involved, was found dead in his swimming pool Sunday, authorities and his fiancee said. He was 47. (more…)
