Last night Thursday (July 26), New York’s Hot 97 morning show host, Peter Rosenberg celebrated his birthday with a star-studded concert at the Best Buy Theater and @donbleek88 of HHW was on hand to capture the memorable moment. Some of Hip-Hop’s newcomers and legends got together for a sold out show.

‘Peter Rosenberg Presents: A Night of Real Hip-Hop’ featured performances by newcomers Nitty Scott, Smoke DZA and Asher Roth who was introduced by Action Bronson. Legendary rapper Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan, Odd Future and Earl Sweatshirt headlined this event which was produced by Adman Lublin and AEG Live for Peter Rosenberg and Hot 97.
As always, Raekwon shut down the building as he performed some of his classic records including “C.R.E.A.M.” and “Ice Cream” before making room for Odd Future, who closed out the show with a big bang.
Odd Future did not disappoint their screaming fans who waited in line for over an hour to see the Wolf Gang. They came to the stage deep, giving the people their money worth. OF performed tracks such as “Bitch Suck Dick”, “Rella”, “Yonkers” “Sam Is Dead”, and “Kill People, Burn Shit, Fuck School”. Odd Future also performed records off their The OF Tape Vol. 2, Goblin and Bastard albums. Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt and Hodgy Beats put on a great show. They closed out their set with “Radical”.
This event was a night to remember. I’m sure the fans had a good time, as they blew smoke in the air, threw water bottles across the theater and jumped up and down.
