CW’s The Next premieres on August 16! The show showcases talent who are already on the verge of stardom. Rapper Nelly will mentor singer Baiyu who is representing NY. She is ready to take her talents from local to mainstreams, with the assistant of the platinum-selling rapper. The show is executive-produced by Queen Latifah and features Joe Jonas, Gloria Estefan and John Rich, along with Nelly as musical mentors to up & coming artists.

Over the course of 72 hours, each celebrity mentor will guide the contestants, by immersing themselves in the contenders’ lives. They go to work with them and socialize with them, all the while preparing them for their big performance.

One winner will be chosen in each city and move on to the next round until ultimately, one performer remains and wins a recording contract with Atlantic Records.
