MMG’s rapper Meek Mill is currently touring across the states on his ‘Dreamchasers’ tour which wraps on September 1st in Philadelphia at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. This fall he will be releasing his debut album, entitled Dreams & Nightmares. The Philly native also signed a deal with Puma. Read some excerpts after the jump.

According to a recent press release, “Fans of Philadelphia’s Meek Mill will have to wait a little longer for his proper release. Originally slated for August 28^th, his Dreams & Nightmares debut will launch on October 30^th to focus on touring and to deliver a debut that can stand alongside the greats. On a visit to San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9, Meek revealed, “A lot of people have been shying away from the real rapping and hip-hop. When I come out with an album, I want to have a classic album, an Illmatic, [Vol.2...] Hard Knock Life, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ type, a hip-hop album.” MMG’s Rick Ross echoed the sentiments on a trip to Power 105′s “The Breakfast Club” to promote his recent release: ‘He’s still putting the final touches on his debut making sure it’s a classic, and [that's] most definitely what it will be.’”

“PUMA has also announced that Meek will be the newest ambassador for the sportlifestyle brand. With a strong presence in music and MC culture, the recent partnership reinforces PUMA’s commitment to music talent. Through PUMA’s partnership with Meek, fans will have an opportunity to meet Meek at an exclusive meet-and-greet, and have the chance to party at an exclusive, to-be-announced concert event. Also, PUMA and Philadelphia-based specialty retailer Villa launched the “Be the Next Dreamchaser” music series to give aspiring and emerging artists an opportunity to make their voice heard on a live stage. By submitting their demo entries through DJBooth.net, PUMA and Villa will select 10 finalists who will be featured on a mixtape hosted by PUMA and available for download at DJBooth.net and at select Villa stores. Two of the ten lucky MCs will be selected to open for Meek Mill in a special PUMA and Meek Mill concert later this fall.”
