New Orleans singer-songwriter Frank Ocean could quite possibly be having the best year ever.

Reports The Urban Daily:

After crafting songs for Beyonce as well as his own debut, Frank Ocean was just announced as a performer at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

Although it’s not clear which song Ocean will perform, it will most certainly be a track from his lauded album channel ORANGE. The Odd Future member was nominated three times this year for his solo work. Frank received nods in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Male Video, and Best Direction. If Frank Ocean wins the coveted Best New Artist moon man, he will keep the trophy in his Odd Future camp. Tyler, The Creator won it last year. (We shall never forget his mother’s reaction. EVER!!)

Along with Ocean, the performers include Taylor Swift, One Direction, Pink, and Alicia Keys, who is slated to perform the title track from her upcoming album Girl On Fire. be sure to watch the MTV Video Music Awards with us and the rest of Twitter on Thursday September 6th at 8pm.
