When you work hard for something, sooner or later, everybody will recognize your perseverance and all the hard work will have paid off. And one day you will wake up and you’re on every newsstand in America! Pinch yourself, it is not a dream!
But Wakina is a dream. She’s every man’s dream. Working hard as a model and social media darling, Wakina made the world pay attention to her. Body perfect and all, a natural beauty standing at 5’10 from head to toe, she’s just beautiful. I got a chance to talk to the ATL transplant by the way of Jersey and she had some words she wanted to share. Listen up!
1.How long have you been modeling?
Since 09 so that’s almost going on 4 years now.
2.Are you a native ATLien, Georgia Peach?
No I’m originally from New Jersey
3.Are you still a Jersey girl at heart or are you a Black Hollywood vixen now?
Jersey girl at heart, always baby never forget your where your from….lol at the Black Hollywood Vixen.
4.And how long do you think the strong fascination for urban models and women of color will last?
It will last as long as there’s a variety of urban models out there still producing sexy images. Sex sells, men and woman love sexiness just like folks thought hiphop was a phase, this world is always growing and with it the urban modeling industry will grow to. Urban modeling is now being recognized world wide, along with it woman of color which is opening many doors for those models who just use that as a way to move on to something better and establish that “Black Hollywood Vixen” title…lol.
5.What are some of the magazines and websites that you have been published?
My first publication was Skintones, then I did the covers of OneTen Magazine and FBM Magazine. I was featured in Silk Magazine, Cred Magazine, Assets Magazine then was later given a cover of Asis/Assets magazine. I also was featured in Black Men’s Magazine and I was King’s Magazine web girl of the week. I have been featured on sites such as DynastySeries, Wiz Daily Dose, GGurls, Black Jack Stanz, Black Men’s Digital, Hustle Bunny and a slew of other modeling websites.
6.What are some of your other talents?
Acting, sports, photography, networking, public speaking, bookkeeping….I can just keep going on and on.
7.Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
More television appearances and I’m definitely trying to place myself in a position so that I can start my own business.
8.What kind of man do you like for yourself?
Well grounded, family orientated, god-fearing and financial established. I’m a cancer and we tend to look for stability and security when it comes to our men.
9.For all your men fans out there, are you single?
No I’m not single guys….sorry… but please by all means don’t let that stop you for continuing to support your girl.
