Perfect album title for one of hip hop’s most embattled rap figures…

 After a hot mixtape, some dope guest appearances and a few album delays, it seems ATL spitter T.I. is one step closer to releasing his latest album, dubbed Trouble Man, for fans who have patiently awaited the return of the Rubberband man.

I spoke with T.I. about his forthcoming album earlier this year, and he told me his biggest challenge would be improving on his previous releases:

“I’m really challenging myself to outdo all the records that people consider there favorites. Although I know what people are pushing me to do, I know what I’m capable of. If people keep pushing me to do another ’24′s’ or something like that, it comes too easily for me, so I don’t think I’m living up to myself as an artist if I keep doing that.”

He also explained the significance of the album’s title.

“The title Trouble Man is me embracing the adversities that I overcame. That’s me saying no matter how much I’ve gone through, I’m never gonna let that define me as a man. If I’ve made myself known for being in trouble, then I’m gonna take that and find the bright side of it. I’m not gonna allow that to weigh me down mentally … or emotionally.”
