Rapping to acting is a natural transition for many hip hop figures, so it comes as no surprise that Rick Ross has ventured into the television world. Check out a trailer for Magic City, which features the “Diced Pineapples” rapper testing out his acting chops.

William Roberts, also known to the rap world as Rick Ross, will make his acting debut in the coming year. The Miami native MC was cast as a character in the Starz series called Magic City. The show is based around the Miami Mafia in which the MMG wordsmith will play the character known as “The Bolita Boss”.

Additionally, the Maybach Music Group head looks to maintain his reign as one of rap’s most popular personalities. His Grammy-nominated effort, God Forgives, I Don’t is less than a year old and already he is prepping the release of a new studio album, titled Mastermind. Check out the cinematic trailer for his 6th studio project below:
