The Mob teams up with the Astronaut Kid and Da Don for this certified street scorcher …
Group bio:
Respect speaks for itself and so does good music, which is why Lawrence “Maserati Black” Vereen and his younger brother Theodore “STR8DROP” Vereen do very little talking unless it’s on the mic. That mentality is so deeply ingrained into the fiber of their beings that the duo, collectively known as Rock Mob, titled their smash street single “Say Nun” featuring Future and Rocko.
The Vereen brothers were raised in an area of Washington, DC that was surrounded by the impoverished elements of the urban jungle: gangs, guns and drugs. Their story isn’t a new one, but the captivating way they tell it is what separates Rock Mob from their Hip-Hop counterparts. Becoming a product of their environment, Maserati Black and STR8DROP lived a lifestyle that most people only read about in the city paper or saw on the big screen. In fact, Rock Mob’s combined personal experiences and drama is a movie within itself. Those trials and triumphs is what give them the unique quality to rhyme with such bravado and paint their life history in vivid detail that is both gangster and fun.
Produced by Grammy-nominated beatsmith Sonny Digital, “Say Nun” has been bubbling underground for months and currently sits at the #1 spot on the Billboard Indie chart. If the momentum of the track is any indication of what’s to come, listeners should expect a conceptually solid, well-executed album. @TheRockMob
Rock Mob’s self-described “street fly” style is creating a growing fan base that encompasses hipsters and thugs. With clever wordplay, raw truth, rhythmic flows and sophisticated production, there is no denying these young bosses are here to stay.
