On Sunday, April 22, 2013, Scoreboard Sports Lounge was the place to be as celebrities from the world of television, music, sports and radio came out to party with Hip Hop Weekly as well as check out the season premiere Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
The reality series was a breakout hit for VH1 when it debuted on June 18, 2012, and has gone on to become one of the most watched urban programs on television. In season one, the world of social media could not get enough of its colorful cast of characters which included star producer Stevie J., Joseline Hernandez, Mimi Faust, Lil Scrappy, singer K. Michelle and Hip Hop Weekly magazine owner Benzino.
After the initial 13-episode run, viewers waited patiently for the second season to return with a bang, and sure enough, the LHHATL cast did not disappoint. Kicking off into high gear, the first episode of the new season featured Stevie J. once again attempting to juggle his relationships with Joseline and Mimi, while Zino focused on his radio gig and Scrappy learned a key lesson in financial responsibility.
While the drama unfolded onstage, at the HHW’s official watch party, celebrity guests mixed and mingled, as V-103′s DJ Greg Street mastered the turntable and Benzino served as host. Among the numerous guests in attendance were Kandi Burress of Real Housewives of Atlanta, LHHATL’s Kirk, Rasheeda, and Shay Johnson, singer Bobby V, NBA Star Baron Davis, The Glenn Twins, Bambi of Basketball Wives and Don Vito of the new reality series, Kandi Factory.
