Hip Hop Weekly was on hand for the 2013 MixShow Live experience, which took place at The W Hotel located in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to a slew of panel discussions and music showcases, celebrities including 50 Cent, Meek Mill, Teddy Riley, Plies came out to support the cause.
A union of the entertainment industry’s top professionals, artists, brand activists, and much more, the semi-annual MixShow Live Conference provides a networking opportunity like no other.The interactive 3-day conference includes panel discussions, artist showcases, and of course, the chance to mix and mingle with celebrities from the world of film, music and television.
At the heart of MixShow Live lies the Core DJ’s. Founded by Tony Neal, the Core DJ’s Retreat successfully provided a platform for new and experienced DJ’s to unite, learn and develop lasting relationships within the music industry. As the profile of these retreats elevated, interested peaked and thus,MixShow Live was born.
The conference continues the spirit of the popular Core Retreats, uniting the entertainment industry, but has expanded its educational offerings, and is now inclusive of ALL DJs, despite coalition. Recent participants include Grand Hustle, Smirnoff, Atlantic Records, Bad Boy Entertainment, Interscope, Warner Brothers, Def Jam, Universal Republic, Sony, RCA, EMI Records, and a host of notable indie labels.
