Hip Hop Weekly teamed up with “the people’s station” V103 Atlanta to showcase new music from “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” (LHHATL) power couple Thi Thi and Benzino.
The well-attended event was filmed for an episode of the top-rated reality series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” that will air this summer, chronicling Thi Thi’s rise in the music industry.
Hosted by fellow cast member Kirk Frost, the private musical showcase included a special performance and video premiere of the crowd favorite “Ghetto Love,” as well as other music that will be featured later this summer in an episode of LHHATL. The dynamic R&B singer also debuted her latest hot single “Bottles (Light The Club Up),” which is expected to burn up the charts this summer. The night couldn’t end without Benzino adding fire to the flame with his new single featuring Rick Ross, “Walk Away.”
“Thi Thi TURNED IT! [She] showed out and shut the place down! In a market where there are very few lanes left for female [Hip Hop/R&B] artists…Thi Thi may just be able to create a lane for herself and ride off into the sunset,” said popular entertainment blogger Funky Dineva on his website www.funkydineva.com.
Hip Hop Weekly all-access host Beestroh was on hand doing interviews and showing off new styles from premier urban clothing brand Pelle Pelle while legendary athletic brand Puma provided footwear for some of the night’s guests.
Special guests included Bobby V, producer Zaytoven, LHHATL cast members Rasheeda, Debra Antney and Momma Dee; TV personalities Carmon and Funky Dineva; DJ Infamous; Minnesota Fatts, program director of Power 107 Augusta; Mike Soul, program director of Foxie 105 Columbus; Power 107 Augusta personality Miss Monique and Fly, CEO of Rich Homie Quan and Trinidad James’ Atlanta-based record label TIG Entertainment, among many more.
The music showcase was held at the new, upscale Vibe Restaurant & Bar in downtown Atlanta with complimentary cocktails flowing throughout the evening courtesy of event sponsors Ciroc and Courvoisier.
