The 3rd annual Pure Heat Community Festival, will honor Faith Evans with their 2014 Humanitarian Award. This event will take place on Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Atlanta’s, Piedmont Park. The festivities slated Thursday, Aug. 28th – Monday, September 1st, will also feature special guest performances from Tamar Braxton and Sevyn Streeter. The Georgian Terrace and Loews Hotel in Downtown Atlanta are the official host hotels for pride weekend.
The 5-day long holiday weekend will also feature the 3rd annual Pure Heat Community Festival which takes place on Sunday, August 31st from 12pm – 8pm at the historic Piedmont Park. This year the festival will honor Grammy Award Winning songstress, Faith Evans. Faith Evans will receive the 2014 Humanitarian Award and perform live on the main-stage. The cultural event will highlight market and food vendors, live performances, entertainment, educational forums, prizes & giveaways, all of which brings together the spirit of community, pride and vision. The Pure Heat Community Festival also offers an opportunity to bring awareness to a community impacted by HIV/AIDS, and which advocate campaigns towards human rights, education, Health & Wellness, and Homelessness which greatly impacts the LGBTQ community at large. The Pure Heat Community Festival is a front seat into a spectacular gathering of minority LGBTQ people and their allies in the heart of Atlanta.
