A Moreno Valley man who posed as a booking agent for rapper Lil’ Wayne, ripping off multiple victims seeking to secure the artist for shows, will be doing time in federal prison at the same time he begins paying back tens of thousands of dollars he took under false pretenses. Nicholaus Saint James, 30, was convicted in December of six counts of wire fraud for perpetrating a scam that netted $146,500. U.S. District Judge Justin Quackenbush on Thursday imposed a two-year sentence on James and ordered the defendant to repay the entire amount of fraudulently obtained funds. Quackenbush granted James time to put his affairs in order before surrendering to U.S. Marshals. A surrender date has not yet been set. “The court’s sentence was appropriate given the serious financial and personal harm James caused the victims in this case as a result of his fraudulent scheme,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Allen Chiu told City News Service.
Busta Rhymes turned up in court to support dancehall artist Vybz Kartel as the embattled entertainer’s murder trial reached the final stage before it is handed over to the jury. Rhymes, an American hip-hop star and actor with Jamaican roots, who has collaborated with Kartel in the past, said he would not speak with the media before the verdict was read. He revealed, however, that he would not be leaving the island before the end of the trial. Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, is charged jointly with fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell, also known as Shawn Storm; Kahira Jones; Shane Williams; and André St John. They have been on trial in the Home Circuit Court since November last year. Justice Lennox Campbell, who began his summation yesterday to the 11-member jury in the trial, said self-defence or provocation did not arise for their consideration. The judge said the two verdicts open to them were guilty or not guilty of murder. However, the judge said that the jury would first have to determine if Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams was dead.

Justin Bieber lost his cool under oath Thursday, when a lawyer started peppering him with questions about Selena Gomez … TMZ has learned. Bieber sat for a 4 1/2 hour deposition in Miami in connection with a lawsuit filed by a photog who claims last June Bieber sent his hired muscle to beat him up. The contentious lawyer for the bodyguard drilled Bieber on a variety of subjects, but things spun out of control when Selena Gomez was raised. The lawyer started asking if Selena was present during any incident involving fights with photogs. Bieber’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman, felt the lawyer was just trying to get a rise so he objected. But the lawyer persisted and asked again … Bieber was fuming and Weitzman jumped in and said his client was being harassed. The photog’s lawyer asked about Selena again, and at that point Justin and Weitzman stood up and left, and as Justin was leaving he screamed, “Don’t ask me about her, do not ask me about her!” Five minutes later they returned but things got even hotter. At one point Bieber responded to a question with the word “Yeah.” The lawyer said, “Do you mean yes?” To that Bieber responded, “What the f*** is the difference between yeah and yes?!”
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are pretty much the couple of the year. They are so in love, and I for one have been hooked on their upcoming wedding details ever since their famous (and adorable) stadium engagement. But celebs are celebs, and they need prenups, and it looks like Kimye’s agreement is really favoring Kim — with money, gifts, life insurance and all. Although Kanye didn’t want a prenup at first, the couple has decided in favor of the legal agreement should their marriage not work out, and the document really leans towards Kim in a very generous way, according to Radar Online. To start off, the reality star will reportedly receive $1 million for every year she and Yeezus are married, capped at $10 million. Kanye is not afraid to be generous with his queen because he knows she is the one. “The entire process for the prenup for Kim and Kanye has been extremely easy, and relatively drama free. Kanye didn’t even think the couple needed a prenup, and was ready to give Kim carte blanche to all of his financial assets. Yes, he loves Kim that much.”
