It been almost three years since Fabolous released his last album. The Brooklyn native is in the studio working on his new album, entitled Loso’s Way 2: The Rise To Power, which is the follow-up/sequel to his last album Loso’s Way. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, selling over 99,000 copies in its first week. In an exclusive interview in with Vibe, Loso revealed that he been laying the groundwork for the project.
“Loso’s Way 2 is slated for a 2012 release. I’m lookin close to Spring… early Summer,” said Fab. “This mixtape [TINC3] is going to coast us into that, bring some energy. I’m very premature with the album as of now. Just grabbing up the beats, putting some ideas down. I haven’t put my complete focus on it yet because I wanted to do a couple of things to set up going into it,” he continued. “Then I would have all the ingredients sitting by the stove and just start cutting the potatoes and making the beef stew as I got it there. All of the stuff is sitting right there on the cutting board. It’s just gotta be cut and put in the pot.”
Fab mentioned that he didn’t want too many features on the album but he did named a few producers he’s working with.
“I went in with Hit-Boy. I went in with NO I.D. I went in with Pharrell. I went in with a lot of guys that didn’t have to have that big name either. It’s just about the energy.I love the new young guys’ energy,” explained Fabolous.
